One Day Question exists for situations in which a single, sensitive decision point cannot be responsibly addressed through standard advisory channels or a pre-commitment review.
It provides private, non-disclosable clarification on one precisely defined question that materially affects capital, exposure, or long-term consequences.
This service is designed for matters that cannot be openly discussed and should not be broadly shared.
It does not expand scope.
It isolates it.
When This Engagement Is Appropriate
This engagement applies when:
• a decision cannot be deferred without consequence
• the implications extend beyond the object itself
• the matter requires discretion beyond ordinary advisory dialogue
• existing inputs are incomplete, contradictory, or structurally insufficient
• the cost of being wrong is asymmetric
It is not designed for exploration, reassurance, or education.
Scope of Engagement
This engagement is strictly limited to:
• one question
• one decision context
• one defined exposure
The question may relate to:
• acquisition or exit risk
• provenance implications
• market positioning
• narrative dependency
• long-term exposure
• structural inconsistencies
Only the submitted question is addressed.
No adjacent issues are included.
Format
• Up to 6 hours of concentrated, private work
• Asynchronous analysis and synthesis
• Optional brief call only if clarification is strictly required
• Written position delivered at the conclusion of the engagement
No follow-up is included.
No derivative or third-party use is permitted.
What This Engagement Is NOT
This engagement is not:
• asset management
• valuation or appraisal
• representation or negotiation
• ongoing advisory
• education or training
• documentation intended for external circulation
It does not replace long-term relationships.
It exists precisely because the scope is narrow and confidential.
Outcome
The outcome is clarity, not comfort.
You will receive:
• a clear position on the question raised
• the implications of proceeding or not proceeding
• exposure points that cannot be mitigated later
The final position may be negative.
That is a valid and often necessary outcome.
Confidentiality & Boundaries
This engagement operates within strict confidentiality boundaries.
Findings are intended solely for the client’s internal decision-making.
They are not designed for disclosure, negotiation leverage, or validation use.
Requests to expand scope or repurpose conclusions are declined.
Availability
One Day Question is available only when capacity allows.
Requests may be declined without explanation.
Fee
$8,500 — fixed
The fee reflects:
• responsibility assumed
• concentration required
• discretion involved
• exclusion of other engagements
It is not based on time alone.
Final Note
If the question is broad, exploratory, or suitable for open discussion, this is not the right engagement.
If the question is precise, sensitive, and the stakes are real, this may be sufficient.
